..hhhmm..I find this of the most surreal,,and therefore, difficult to find english words that can communicate the feel and texture of it sufficiently. This skunk thing...yes. There appears a gathering of connectivity amongst us thru this skunk thing. Its not the connectivity itself as so much as the Skunk being the commonality of connectivity.,that has me dis associated from the mundane.

This morning at work here, a shipping tool , a large metal cube which large power distribution boxes for a large air lifter aircraft is shipped in,,was found to be emmiting a large stank..dead animal stank. A fire engine hose was applied underneath and a large dead and therefor bloated skunk, polecat,,was washed out. I know this becuase our allowed smoking area was right next. I am grateful that the carcass was not peirced in any way just as much as i am grateful that it wasn't alive. yet, dead or alive,,a skunk of commonality is rather odd and worth keeping an eye on. Yes,, i feel like one may after a nite of really weird dreams and one is left to wonder about them the next day.
_________________
Elephant Slippers
I know I don't count in the great list of people you care about. Proof positive, you hug the skunk before you wave at me. I know nobody ever takes notice of me or anything I say, and as a result, I will never see my book again, and Carla will never see her charger again (good thing she ordered another or she'd have a dead phone). I know everyone at Seafest just wanted me to go away, but had to put up with me due to an easier place to have fun. And at the office that I work, I can be talking to people and they totally ignore me. I can walk into a room without a glance in my direction. Even now those in this thread hardly notice me....

That Guns guy is a goer! Oh and this one time I had ANOTHER three way with Wylde and Cheval on 133. That was totally sweet! Kevinswatch camp is way bitchin.

I'm damn proud of my burgers. Best I've eaten anywhere, period.

Here's the secret to a perfect burger: Angus ground chuck. The full fat stuff. Buy it at a store that has decent meat. Kroger will do, but if it's from Walmart--even their Angus--it's going to be horrible. With the full fat ground chuck, you can cook it medium well and it's still going to be juicy enough to run down your arms. I don't eat rare ground beef. (That's for steak.)

Now, pat out your patties without pressing the meat together too hard. Use just enough force to make it stick together and retain a patty shape. If you're worried that it might fall apart, you're probably right on track. This will make burger that's not only juicy (due to the fat), but tender, too.

Next: top with only salt and ground black pepper, with an emphasis on the salt. That's it. No need for any soy or worscheshire sauce. Yuck! I like to taste the meat.

Now, grill it on a charcoal grill. You've got to have that smoke. A gas grill will not be the same. Cook medium-medium well without pressing it with the spatula. Flip only once.

As for condiments, I prefer the works--mustard, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. No cheese. However, this burger will be good enough with just a bun and nothing else. I'm serious.

I like whole wheat buns, a bun that actually tastes like it was made from grain. You know, bread. Although a kaiser bun isn't bad in a pinch.
_________________
"One day I fly through a crack in the sky, and the next it's falling in on me."

If Anele is warning Linden to side with the ur-viles against Covenant, Jeremiah, and Esmer - which is what I feel he is doing - then the question becomes:

How does Anele know what's going on? Does he, like his latest possessor, know about the perils which have been prepared for her? Is he merely warning her that Esmer is coming, and he's up to no good?

SoulBiter wrote:

So I do think that TC and Jeremiah have let a few things slip but how much of it is slips and how much of it is lies?

I tend to believe most of what he claims are facts, but I ignore most of what he provides as opinion. E.g. Covenant says that Kevin invoked the Ritual of Desecration because he wanted to be punished ... that's going to be false. But I tend to believe what he says about Kastenessen and Foul.
_________________
"Linden, do you not know that you are admirable in my sight?
Your intent is not to destroy the Earth, but to redeem it,
as you seek also to redeem your son.
I will abide the outcome with you."
My point was for those who oppose the death penalty regardless, who feel that "life" in prison is sufficeint to ensure that a felon will not be a danger anymore.

Well, this person had not one, but two life sentences, and he managed to be a danger. There are many others within the prison system who have multiple life sentences, and who have killed while behind bars.

What do you do about them? Give them a harsh lecture about how they might get into more trouble? Maybe we ought to tack on "another" life sentence?

I'm perfectly aware that the original article I started this subject on did not have murder in his history. That was not really the point. My whole point is "once you take execution off the table, what's left to use against someone who is already serving life?"
_________________
“One accurate measurement is worth a

Come up with something specific, then tell me how it's going to reduce the flow and number of illegal guns.

I don't believe that by providing for people you're doing them any favors. All you're doing is reinforcing the idea that they don't have to take care of themselves.

I did say that they were off the top of my head, but here's one. Stop making guns tomorrow. Close down every firearms factory that isn't making guns specifically for the military/police. treat these things like plutonium rods. By cutting off the source of guns, you cut off the source of illegal guns. There are already enough private guns in use, and if they are correctly registered, you will keep your legal ones. Everything else gets melted down. Swords into ploughshares.

The people of the community are providing for themselves, which is the entire point. Nobody gets given education or welfare, the community works for it, so the community does take care of themselves.

And once guns are no longer available for the average citizen, we then go door to door with the US military and police departments, with metal detectors, and other things capable of sniffing out gunpowder, and we confiscate all the firearms and firearms like devices from all house holds. And then we establish curfews, restrict a persons ability to be in certain areas of town, etc.

And then finally, when every ounce of freedom is squeezed from the poles, we may then have a

And if you have your own grinder, turkey parts are great to grind for patties. I like to mix the white and dark meat; the resultant patties are far moister than all white meat patties.
