Here are the advantages of using banana leaves for plates, like the Ramen do.

Yes, but where in the First or the Last Chronicles does it mention the Ramen serving their guests soup? Smile

Actually, when I think of Ramen, soup is often part of the concept.

Does stew count? (Chapter 9 of TPTP: Ramen Covert)

Quote:
A short time later, the food was ready....and the Winhomes set dry, brittle banana leaves in front of them as plates. Covenant found himself positioned between Lena and Bannor. A lame man muttering dimly to himself served the three of them stew and hot winter potatoes....

I assume it was a thick stew. Wink

At this point, I would probably say "What the Phở ?" but that would probably be taking things a bit too far...

LOL

This reminds me...there was this guy named Keith, nicknamed "Kit", who had a number of Vietnamese recipes, and considered opening a restaurant business, and he was going to call it, "Phở Kit". However, he decided that would be taking things too far...and he was probably right!
