I'm probably somewhere in the middle, reading speed-wise. I can finish a book pretty quickly, but I usually try to savor it at least a little.

Almost done with Starless. It's... good. Not her best by long shot. Needs more conflict. And intrigue, and treason, and copious amounts of kinky sex. Her first trilogy was still the best.

Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie. A stand-alone novel set in the world of the First Law books, only a short time after their conclusion.

Didn't know what to read next, so re-reading The Hunger Games books, since I've only read them once before and they'll be quick and easy.

On Book 1 now, The Hunger Games.

Emerald Eyes, by Daniel Keys Moran, would be a good idea. The first of four, and we sure wish there were more. Get the free Kindle ap on your computer, for crying out loud. The book is only $2.99 over here at the moment.

Not to worry, it doesn't seem he's writing more.

And a tablet or something is far easier than the computer. But you don't have anything like that, iirc.

Nah, I avoid mobile devices as much as possible. Very Happy

So, all 4 are available?

That's fine, a finished series is good. Very Happy

Yup, that seems to be it. He could and should continue. Doesn't look like he will, though.

And come out of your cave. Get a mobile device. There are other nifty things you might try. Indoor plumbing. Automobiles. It's a crazy new world out there!! Very Happy

I thought it was supposed to be old people like me who don't go for those newfangled e-readers.

Hahaha, I like being able to hold a book in my hands. And to look up at my shelves and feel the satisfaction of having collected so many.

Also, I like to know that when I buy a book, it's mine forever. The whole ebook recall thing a few years ago really put me off.

I know what you mean. I used to feel exactly the same. I used to post pictures of my Malazan collection and others. But now I hope to never buy another actual book again. The ease of purchasing, the often better prices, and being able to carry a thousand books in one hand have won me over.

Never heard of the recall. Just as well, I guess. Heh
