Hmmm...

In the chapter entitled "Gathering Support" in A Man Rides Through was wrote:
Without warning--and almost without transition, as if she had been secretly standing all along--Queen Madin swept tp her feet. "Why?" she demanded in a voice that made Terisa want to hide under the couch. "If this is true, why did he not tell me?" She didn't shout, but her tone had the impact of a yell. "Did he not trust me? Did he believe that I would not understand?--that I would not approve?"

Geraden stood to face her. "My lady Queen," he asked softly, intently, "what would you have done if he had told you?"

"I would not have come here." The Queen might as well have been shouting. "I would have stood by him, instead of allowing all the world to think that I have lost my love for him and his ideals and the realm."

Sounds to me like your answer is spot-on, Avatar! Congratulations, It's your question!!!

I love how that's exactly why he didn't tell her...because otherwise his enemies wouldn't have bought his growing decrepitude.

Ok, will be back with a question. Very Happy

Alright...

Why does Elega tell Terisa that she respects Nyle?

I should know this, but I have enough doubt that I don't think it is a slam-dunk...

Wasn't it something like him being more serious? And that he wouldn't have spent so much time trying (and failing) to become an imager.

Oooh, I was looking for a little more...can you remember what he was more serious of?

(If not, it's probably close enough...)

Without going back to the books, that the best I can remember at the moment. If someone else can fill in the extra details, I'll happily concede.

His "Imagers of Orison" Funko Pop collection? He had the entire set, as I recall.

OK, another "Sons of the Domne" question...

In Terisa's initial impression, what was Minick's defining characteristic?

Hahaha, ok...

What do the Masters consider to be the apex of translation?

Ah, I think I know the answer to this! However, as is my usual habit, I will be quiet for a week or two to give someone else a chance to get it. If no one gets the right answer by then, I promise to speak up!

I would think the ability to translate through flat glass without going insane?

Or unless you are talking about "ordinary" imagers where it is a) achieving a mirror that produces an image b)breaking the glass and taking the images to get a reading of possible events/insights or just to see specific image more clearly

I can't do Avatar's job for him, but one of you might want to start thinking of a question...

If I am the winner I have a question ready. I almost guessed what Hunchback Jack did - but slid back to my guess because the first whole book The Mirror of Her Dreams talks about how the Masters thought translating through flat glass was dangerous and only a few had achieved it.

There were only "hints" of translating a glass through another glass in the first book. So I reasoned how could Masters consider that apex because at that time (as far as they knew) no one had attempted it.

But at the same time since the Masters considered translating through flat glass dangerous. That was why I guessed for 'ordinary ' Imagers successfully creating a mirror on their own that could augur events would be considered apex for them.

Anyways waiting for Avatar...

Sorry, was on hols. Very Happy

Samrw3 has it. Smile

An arch-Imager is someone who has mastered what we consider the apex of translation--the ability to pass safely through flat glass. As far as we know, only one man has ever done it--the arch-Imager Vagel.

Your question Samrw3. Very Happy

You all know so much about these books this question may be easy. So to (I think?) raise the difficulty level I am going to pretty picky on the answer.

According to the Castellan Lebbick - what was the starting point - the very first roots of him becoming Castellan. I am thinking along the lines of superheroes have a origin story of what started them down the road to become who they are. What does the Castellan say is his origin story?

To answer correctly needs at least three key components.
