And, as must inevitably happen if you are reading Feist, I have moved back to the Empire trilogy.

Daughter of the Empire by Feist and Janny Wurts.

I just finished A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Lighter fare and a quick read, but quite enjoyable.

Finished Servant of the Empire, (my favourite) now on Mistress of the Empire.

I always dislike the beginning of that book...seems so out of character.

But, have bought a new PC game, and Bannerlord is out at the end of this month, so I expect my reading to suffer. Very Happy

I'm re-reading The Stand for the first time in 15-20 years. There are parts that are hitting a little too close to home, and parts that make me say At least it isn't that bad. Yet.

I think that's part of the reason why dystopian fiction has been on the rise in general for the past several years. At least my life doesn't suck that much.

It might even help explain the popularity of reality TV. At least my family isn't that big of a trainwreck.

It's a weird world, and it's getting weirder out there every day.

Haha yeah, I've been thinking about The Stand quite a bit lately. I read it probably 2-3 years ago so it's still relatively fresh in my mind. It has a real horror feel to it - I always find though that the whole Randall Flagg incorporation removes it from a reality that could happen, to just another Stephen King horror novel. Apart from that, it is a great read.

Just grabbed China Meiville's The Scar. Apparently, I'm ready to be traumatized again.
