I still haven't finished the novel that won last year. I keep telling myself that I must be the problem and I must be missing something. It's really rare that I don't finish a book once I start. _________________

Uprooted? I quite enjoyed that one. This year's winner I wasn't so keen on (like, it seemed like it wanted to be whimsical but never quite hit the right tone?), but it's getting loads of praise and awards, so /shrug. _________________ Inspiration Struck.

This looks like a pretty great ballot. I've read four of the novels and have started a fifth; they're all very good. Also familiar with a bunch of the novellas, graphic stories, and dramatic presentations - really good stuff. _________________ Inspiration Struck.
