For anyone who may have questions on keeping and cooking kosher, Kosher Directory looks like an interesting read. I do not keep kosher, but I find a lot of recipes I can incorporate on these types of sites.

(The opposite of bacon is humous. So this should be a thread about humous.)

OK, everyone can be right. How about broccoli crudités with hummus for dipping?

HLT, we even have a bowl of bacon-laced hummus over here for you.

Hey, I clicked! That is a very interesting fact. But it's HLT's broccoli pic that is making me hungry. (I like bacon, but I love broccoli.)

That's why brocolli can't be the opposite of bacon. But who can look at a slab of slimy hummus and get hungry?!?! Only vegetarians - I rest my case.

(I was thinking more along the lines of health not taste but I agree with you)

But what if the hummus was compressed and shaped like bacon and then deep fried in Crisco or something?
Would it come out of the pan glowing green like the lllearth Stone?

The Greek olive flavor is my favorite. Smile

Y'know, I'd go pish-tosh to the idea of breading and frying hummus, but if they can do it with ice cream, hummus isn't much of a stretch. I bet it would be pretty tasty, too -- deep-fried garlicky hummus cubes, mmmm, I'm seeing possibilities here. We could tint the breading green to keep HLT happy. Wink

So my favorite is:

However, having visited their product page, it seems they have varieties I have not seen. I would love to try the Caramelized Onion flavor as well as the Chipotle.

And I happily eat the Luscious Lemon or the Roasted Pine Nut if that is what is available.

I noticed the list of flavors, too, and I've never seen some of them either. I bet the chipotle would be fab! But I wouldn't turn any of the flavors down...

Quinoa. Possibly the most healthy food known to man.

But then I suppose you must consider that bacon is far healthier than many other processed foodstuffs.
