I took them at the wrong size by mistake. The next will be better. Maybe Nike can fill in the details.

Has Nike begun herding sheep as well, or is that someone else? Wink
I see the obligatory church ruin's included. Next one ought to find a dolmen.

I'm glad that finally my Greek godlike abilities have been acknowledged. I didn't really want to have to mention them Laughing

A few comments on the pictures. I think the bridge is called Kippure Bridge and the river, Athdown Brook (a tributary of the River Liffey). I'd never been over this bridge before so it was a nice surprise for me too! The pic of the sheep was also fortuitous as it nods to the well known postcards, 'Traffic jam in Ireland'. The pics around the Sally Gap in the Wicklow mountains show lots of flat, brown countryside. This is usually purple with heather, but it did evoke our previous roadtrip in the deserts of New Mexico, which was cool. The waterfall is Glenmacnass Waterfall. Again I'd never seen this and it was a nice bonus on our journey out to Glendalough, a monastic settlement in a beautiful glaciated valley. We saw a goat and some deer out there as well, hard to get good pics of those though.

Visited Newgrange today. A first for me as well, but, damn, it was cold. Shocked

Passage tombs, huh? Twisted Evil
Cold??? You squishy Gaelic-Greek gods clearly should journey back in time to breed with the Neanderthals or swap those togas for some more practical clothing. Twisted Evil A gentle -15 out there when I went to shovel snow...

Nope, Newgrange, Dublin Castle and Trinity College respectively.

We travelled down to see the Cliffs of Moher yesterday, but between distractions, deviations and deep snow it was too dark by the time we got there. So, we overnighted in Lahinch, County Clare and saw the cliffs this morning instead. In a stormy Galway city tonight. (Pics to follow, I'm sure Laughing)

Perkele, wish I could teleport myself thither right now, the landscapes must appear breathtaking beneath a mantle of snow. Laughing (Also complain not about daylight! You're positioned on a veritable tropical zone. Wink)
Cliffs of Moher is far more exciting than cross-country skiing with a headlamp and an excursion to Varusteleka.

I recommend at least a fur-lined toga if you get the urge to build a snow-cow.

All the pics taken by my Nike's all over the world look sadly [or maybe GLADLY if it would make us all get along] the same.
rock about to get stomped on, grass about to get stomped on, gravel about to get stomped on, asphalt about to get stomped on, sand about to get stomped on, dandelions about to get stomped on, dirt about to get stomped on, spit about to get stomped on, gum about to get stomped on,
....

Holy crap, Lorin, you cracked my ass up [with an arrow through the head...?...?...I'm not sure how that works out bio-physio-spacia-humoristically???].
Partly unexpected...
[like inquisitions...all of them, not just Spanish ones...Spanish ones are just more famous. Like Miley Cyrus boobs are more famous than her dad's songs]
Partly cuz I've started my TGIF salutes already.

Good one! I like Nikes. They seem to last 4-5 times longer than any other kind of sneaker I've bought.

Great pictures, lorin and u.! Being a desert rat, I envy all that green! Mr. Green

The Copper Road

This is a tile sculpture on a stone representing earth, sky, water and earth.

What does a NY princess wear to play in the muck? Not what she packed. So I'm wearing Mike's dad's boots, and their spare gloves and jackets.

This is Pricilla of Padua, my new adopted daughter. She took to me and I'm in love. Unfortunately love costs and I have to pay child support.

These are the mommies waiting and waiting................

no explanation needed. Found out I have an affinity for Guinness.

This is so cool!

Apparently I brought the snow with me to Ireland and and took it home with me.

Sheep, Sheep, Sheep. I love the sheep!

Sea foam

Pretty!

Monk's beehive huts

WAIT!!!.......................

That's an island (Bear?) and a cable runs across a few times a day.

more pretty!

Rainbow!

[/URL]
scary dark woods. freaked me out.

pretty!! (and closed)

cliffs of Moher.

I have never seen weather like that!! I could hardly walk!!!

Pretty in Pink

I've never thought of cows as being cute, but that one is adorable. Love the whiskers.

Nike's rocking that pink jacket. Maybe Frosty wasn't kidding when she started calling him Squishy. Wink

Batty said they saw rainbows all the time when she was in Ireland with her college choir. And she *loved* the Cliffs of Moher.
