Hello!
My daughter is looking for survey information for her music class.
If you have a few minutes and feel like taking a quiz check it out.
(Let me know if you've ever heard the term "screamo" before the quiz.
I didn't.)

I'm from Mass and in my life I have spent a lot of time in the Moultonborough area.

Thanks to all that took the quiz!

Screamo is:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screamo

I never heard the term.
I told her she should have had "Vocals" and "Folk" as genres too.

Surveyed.
Never heard of screamo. Without looking, I am guessing it's screaming emo.
Wanted to indicate I listen to blues in certain moods, was unable to.
It's a sad day when people know what screamo is but not blues.
And now I am sad, and want some blues.

Done. Would have guessed Screamo was a frozen dessert of some type, possibly non-dairy ice cream or something of that nature.

I'm late to the party, but I took it. Yeah, I think the music genres were probably culled from a record store, with screamo put in for fun. There are so many classifications of music and some MAJOR genres left out, unless Blues is wrapped up in R&B. And I find that being the case in a lot of music stores as well. Whenever these genres are listed, it is so hard to pin down what several mean as they have shifted over the years. When I worked in radio on an Alternative station, we'd play things from Morrissey to hardcore punk to reggae, because it was an alternative to what was played on other stations. Now, Alternative has become a music genre that doesn't make sense to me anymore, as it can range from folky bands to, well, screamo.
I think one of the best thought out categories for music that I can recall seeing was in School of Rock during a little montage on the chalkboard, at least in a more general sense.
This seems like an exhaustive list though.
