TURN VIII

- The barbarian invaders are routed, defeated in the momentous battle of a single night by a triple-pronged attack. The esteem of the Acropolis' citizens for its gods has never been higher.
- Word spreads of a man, by all accounts a common workman, who was struck down by Antaka (though some claim it was Kai), receiving a burning brand upon his forehead for misdeeds.
- Many people acknowledge Orden as one of the city's greatest heroes following his devastating attack on the enemy's rear flank.
- The civilians of the Acropolis speak of their awe for Nyx's dark night and how Chime gave them confidence.
- The soldiers speak of Surya's amazing gift of sight and how Diana succored them.
- Virelai's priest Marziale is welcomed as a returning hero
- Celebrations are held throughout the Acropolis, some formal and planned like the King's great banquet, many others informal and impromptu.
- Some surviving barbarians flee into the countryside. Most, however, about 400 in all, allow themselves to be taken prisoner.

TURN IX

- One company of the Acropolis' army makes Surya their patron. Another company is formed that proclaims Nyx as theirs.
- A number of the barbarian prisoners escape. Most are recaptured, thanks in part to Orden and his men.
- As the prisoners escape, panicked beasts run wild through the Acropolis.
- Chime gains dominion of Mathematics.
- The hilltop of the recent victory is sanctified in Nyx's name.
- The Tabernacle, a temple of Virelai that can move throughout the Acropolis, is set up in the field below the garden district.

TURN X

- A new form of music that stresses discordance, speaks of feelings of rage and helplessness, and often culminates in the smashing of instruments becomes popular in Irshirel.
- Priestesses of Diana are seen tending to the pregnant refugees in Virelai's care.
- The priests of Antaka are seen throughout the city offering the gift of death to those who suffer.
- Nyx and Chime both finish construction on new temples, while Marziale is officially named Virelai's second high priest.
- The barbarian prisoners are slaughtered. While many citizens of Irshirel cheer on the massacre, the actual killing was said to be done by a small group of men in uniforms that appear blacker than night itself.
- Work begins in earnest on the Unification Temple, but it does not progress far, as the accidents that have been befalling laborers occurs with greater frequency on this site.
