I'd say that's a huge improvement over the previous model, and in a very good way; both more according to the book's description and more energetic, while yet retaining a fairly stoic expression.

I've personally imagined them a step away from such Siberian people as Khanty/Mansi/etc. (quite flat noses and faces), with darker skin and curly hair. There's probably some Asiatic genetic strain that would correspond to them exactly, but I lack the expertise.

Now we'd only need some cool action shot with these new fellows. If you get inspired to render multi-character book scenes, that is.

looks great.. it fits my image more clearly of how i had always seen the haruchai.. Temuera Morrison was always how i pictured Banor.
