Most recent update from the world of GRRM is that the short story collection due this year "Dangerous Women" has been delivered to the publishers.

The GRRM contribution, alas, which was supposed to have been the next/fourth Dunk and Egg story about the She-wolves of Winterfell, has been delayed.

In its place we are getting 'The Princess and the Queen', which is going to be some sort of narrative on the original Dance of the Dragons (the historical conflict between two competing heirs to the Iron Throne).

There should be lots of new information in it, concerning the various Targaryens alive at the time, and their dragons.
