It is the evening of April 16th, 1205. Day 28 of the lunar cycle, and so there is a thin sliver of a crescent moon (waning) in the sky tonight. As expected, the weather has gotten worse, and the day's storm is finally calming down. The streets are muddy and chilly. And the people, in spite of it being dark out, are finally free to leave their homes for any necessaries. So, the muddy and chilly streets are surprisingly a-bustle in the dim light of the moon-sliver.

Lucretia wakes in her accustomed place, without sign of having been molested. Constance is there as well, convincing herself that she is just finishing up her duties as a maid.
