has anyone here actually read the Last Dark?

I have to ask - I am so worried about this last book. I have never got ove the dark tower ending and i was rather disappointed with the wheel of time .

so if you have read it what I want to know is - what did you think of it ?

I don't think anyone's read anything other than the teaser chapter on SRD's website. A few new threads about the ARC usually pop up pretty quickly after the it comes out/gets leaked, so it's often easy to tell when we've reached a point when someone will have read the whole thing.

Interestingly I have actually (and in reality) 'kissed the Blarney Stone' - an act said to confer on the performer the 'Power of Persuasion' ie the ability to persuade anyone to do anything at any time. I've never really put it to the test so perhaps.......

I can conceive of SRD weaving an ending that would result in what Romeo suggests....and it potentially being a satisfying conclusion. That's how good a writer he is, that he can craft an story that uses a trope that hackneyed and still make it work.

I do not believe that is where he has gone, but I trust him enough to know that if he did it, he would make it work. However he ends the Chrons, it will not be a "...then the little boy fell out of bed and woke up from the dream" cop-out.

An ending that gave TC back his wife and son in his own world would be a good one for me - and for TC as well. I have always felt keenly for their plight.
