A status update of sorts, I guess.

Two people in, a few more up in the air. Fist and Caam have had a different take on Hestor Rum that's making me think around what his character will be like (this was the idea anyway - I always needed to build this around the characters you guys come up with). Also providing some potential story hooks.

Avatar said he had an idea, which I'm looking forward to seeing.

I've yet to hear anything from Skyweir. StevieG offered to step out for Cheval, but I've not heard back from either of them yet.

Hopefully things will start to come together soon. Next steps will be filling out character sheets, establishing relationships in the group as the game begins, then diving into the actual game.

I checked in with Skyweir - she is out bush all day every day at the moment. Is still keen to play but happy for someone to take her place if it's holding up the start of the game.

If Cheval's in, and I can get myself organised, I'll step in for Sky! If you can get started without me, then I'm happy to bow out.

In the meantime, I'll PM you if I come up with any ideas - since I've never played these games before Very Happy

I'm also kinda taking the time to do some of the prep work I should have been doing tbh. Fleshing out some details for the early campaign, NPCs, stuff like that.

For transparency's sake for the other players: I'm just going through a bit of backstory stuff for Fist atm as he's the character with the most history with Hestor Rum and so needs a bit of grounding there.

We'll move on to the final stage of setup - establishing what you've been doing since meeting up and starting this journey - very soon, then move into the actual campaign.

As far as getting a fourth player, I'm leaving things open for someone to join and if they do, we'll just all collectively pretend the final member of the crew was supposed to be meeting you all when you reached Jovian.

I've kinda messed up the start of this game tbh. I had intended to begin the game proper with you all arriving at Jovian, then I realised that meant you'd all spent time with each other and with the NPCs during the journey, and I couldn't find a decent way to deal with all that, and ended up with a tiny bit of beginning then an awkward time skip, and you guys still haven't had a chance to get to know anyone even though you spent two weeks together. Ah well. We're now coming into where I'd envisioned the actual game beginning, and things should settle into something more sensible after this.

I hope no one here knows anything about horses and wagons because I'm pretty sure this caravan is nonsense, and would've needed a bunch more people to actually make the trip.
