Precisely... it's unrelenting wall to wall demonisation from both sides, which fuels the ever more extreme hyperpolarisation of both sides.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if one side - unilaterally - decided it was going to try to be just a bit better and just not carry on promoting and propagating this farcical pantomime? Anyone rational enough to step up to that particular plate?

It is the inevitable result of people taking politics far too personally. People took Clinton's loss in 2016 personally, as if someone came up and kicked the chair out from under them. They could not believe that their candidate was simply a pile of crap, and so they jumped to an external cause, hence all the Russia bullshit which never went anywhere.

The candidate for whom I am going to vote is most likely going to lose in November. That will be a shame but I won't take it personally because at least the Senate and the SCOTUS will help reign in some of the wild excesses the other side will try to push through the House and by EO from the Oval Office.

No one would ever willingly watch the videos he finds. As I said, why don't you simply ignore him?

I don't care if "conservatives" choose not to vote for Trump--they are allowed to make up their own minds and their vote choice is none of my business. That being said, having to make a video explaining why you are making a choice you are makings sounds a lot like someone trying to convince themselves they are making the right choice or they are looking for external confirmation of their choice.

Trump had a meeting today with Amy Coney Barrett, the frontrunner and "most likely to be nominated" candidate. I expect a nomination by the end of this week.

I would be surprised if the choice were not Barrett. She was on the short list last time, as well, along with Kavanaugh. She is already on a Federal bench, so most of her background has been covered; now they need only focus on the things she had written or decicions made since that confirmation.

Well, gotta say the reason I never liked Bolton in the first place was his extreme "hawkishness" is, I believe, the word?

His answer to everything was to bomb whoever he was disagreeing with. Very Happy
